A birth chart is a map of the sky from the exact place and moment you were born. Western astrology traces its roots to Babylonian sky-watching and Greek astrology of the Hellenistic period, and today it is the form most people meet first, through daily horoscopes and star-sign memes.
Your Sun sign is only one part of it. The full natal chart shows where the Moon and every planet sat, which sign was rising, and how the planets relate to one another, so two people with the same Sun sign can have very different charts.
How your natal chart is calculated
Planet positions are worked out for your birth date and time in the tropical zodiac, which is tied to the seasons and starts each year at the spring equinox. The rising sign, or Ascendant, is the sign coming up on the eastern horizon at your birth, so it needs both a birth time and a place.
This chart uses whole-sign houses, one of the oldest house systems: the entire rising sign becomes the first house, the next sign the second, and so on. It is simple, clear and works well at any latitude.
The ten planets in a Western chart are the Sun and Moon, the personal planets Mercury, Venus and Mars, the social planets Jupiter and Saturn, and the outer planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The outer planets move slowly, so astrologers often read them as markers of a generation as well as of the individual.
What your WORLD DESTINY birth chart reading shows
Your result starts with the big three, Sun, Moon and Ascendant, and then lists all ten planets from the Sun to Pluto by sign and whole-sign house. The major aspects (conjunction, sextile, square, trine and opposition) show which planets work together and which pull in different directions.
For the present, you see which houses Jupiter and Saturn are transiting now, plus notes on your Saturn return and on Jupiter passing over your Sun. You can also compare themes with your other charts, ask preset or free AI questions, save a PDF, or share an image card that holds no personal data.
Rising sign, houses, aspects and transits
In most readings the Sun stands for your core identity, the Moon for your emotional needs, and the rising sign for your first impression and approach to life. The twelve houses place each planet in an area of life, such as home, work, relationships or friendships.
Transits compare today's sky with your natal chart. Jupiter is linked with expansion and opportunity, and Saturn with structure and commitment. Your Saturn return, around ages 29 and 58, is often described as a period of growing up and taking stock, while Jupiter crossing your Sun about every twelve years is read as a lift in confidence.
Aspects are the angles between planets. A trine (120 degrees) or sextile (60 degrees) is usually read as easy cooperation, while a square (90 degrees) or opposition (180 degrees) points to tension that can push you to grow. A conjunction, two planets in the same place, blends their energies. Astrologers rarely judge a chart by one aspect; they look for repeating patterns, such as several planets in one element or a house that holds many planets, and build the reading from there.
Birth time and accuracy
If you do not know your birth time, you still get your Sun, most planets by sign and the aspects between them, though the Moon can change sign within a day. The Ascendant and houses need a time, so check a birth certificate if you can. Your chart is calculated in your browser, and your birth data is not stored.
A birth chart shows how astrology interprets your sky, not a fixed outcome. Use it as a starting point for reflection.

How is a Western birth chart different from a Vedic chart?
Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac linked to the seasons, while Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac linked to the stars, so your signs can differ by about one.
